The UK will probably get enough doses to vaccinate the over 65s by about Easter. There is a much larger question as to when the under 65s will be vaccinated. This will have an impact on people's ability to travel without quarantine
The WHO is keen to ensure that while rich countries are front of the queue for pharma firms, the vulnerable elderly in world's poorer countries should not have to wait until all low risk children in rich countries have been vaccinated. Or in other words, access to vaccine should be based partly on clinical need and not just ability to pay the highest price as vaccine doses are auctioned off
