Mad757, couldn't have said it any better. The objective should be clear when entering the ME; make and save the cash, don't waste a cent...leave.
You will have a huge pot in a very small amount of time...likewise it's very easy to do the opposite and come away with little.
Additionally, don't get divorced! But to tie it together, unfortunately those I've seen getting divorced along the way, many were ones who'd fallen into the desirous lifestyle you've wisely suggested to avoid.
