Go there, take as much cash away from the muppets running those airlines and leave. For some reason the incompetents in charge think that living in some of those cities is desirable in its own right, Dubai was barely tolerable whilst I was there but I was there for the tax free money, I really didn't care about shiny buildings, the luxury lifestyle or brunch! They will use you so use them right back, take every bit of cash they offer and get as much of it out of there as possible, do not succumb to the lifestyle you will leave broke...
Dubai is proof that you can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter........
