Is the Westminster system the problem?

They do seem to go to the same finishing school.

This is the official trailer for the 2021 full feature length release "the UNCivil Aviation Authority" - a powerful story of pilots fighting for their survival against the monopoly organization giving them their licences. The story of the UK CAA flagrantly violation basic human rights and knowingly prosecuting pilots with illegal methods, whereby the ends justify any means. The NATS National Air Traffic Service - a private entity owned by airlines who do not care for small aviation - get the CAA to do whatever they want.

Private and commercial pilots in the United Kingdom have had sinister experiences, with their flying licenses summarily taken away, by untrained "investigators" operating illegally as investigator, prosecutor, judge and jury, all in one. Untrained individuals, often not pilots, judge on the "fitness" of pilots with experience levels far eclipsing their own, using illegal and controversial investigation methods and routinely handing out disproportionate sentences whilst drunk on their unlimited power. Pilots are not presumed innocent as every citizen should be, but routinely misled and coerced to incriminate themselves and face a kangaroo court. Of course, infringements must not happen but too many infringements that are heavy handedly prosecuted, are actually not infringements, and many who are talking to and complying with controllers, are erroneously prosecuted.

Because the CAA is the one and only, all-powerful regulator who has unbridled power over pilots and aviation businesses it grants licences to operate, and because the CAA is not accountable to anyone, pilots and maintenance engineers and even CAA insiders who are worried about safety are afraid to challenge the injustices perpetrated by the CAA. The CAA does like the big money offered by airlines who already own NATS and grab airspace where they like - we refer to the Lord Kirkhope Enquiry on Lower Airspace.

There is no legal recourse for pilots whatsoever ... and uniquely and strangely, the CAA is the only organisation in the UK which does not offer basic human rights of presumption of innocence, right to a fair trial or right of appeal that must be there by law and are for all people.

The fear of the all-powerful CAA has kept many individual injustices hidden for many years, and that and the absence of legal recourse for victims has in fact emboldened the CAA to commit even more injustices, knowingly encouraged by CAA leadership.

This is the story of how the universal justification of "safety in the air" the CAA abuses, is achieving the very opposite, forcing many pilots to switch off safety devices giving their position in the air.

The CAA is not regulated and does not keep to the Regulator's code of Conduct .. the CAA is not accountable to anyone, has exempted itself from National Audit Office oversight, does not react to the Department of Transport, nor to a group of hundreds of Members of Parliament from all political parties. General Aviation is a £ 3 billion business, from which crucially, from grassroots level, pilots and engineers are grown to make the future of aviation business succeed, to carry on the great aviation brands of Rolls-Royce, British Aerospace, Airbus and carry on British aviation successes like for instance Spitfire, Sea Harriers, Tempests. The injustices are so widespread and endemic, and have persisted for so long, that the majority of the 40,000 pilots and thousands of engineers and engineering firms, have now en masse lost confidence in the CAA and dark clouds have overcast the skies of Britain. The documentary follows all developments realtime for the next year, including the formal complaint on behalf of a 30 strong group of pilots brave enough to stand up with the Human Rights Watchdog, the Equalities and Human Rights Commission and their individual cases they are taking to Court.

Will the CAA and its new head, Stephen Hillier, formerly the head of the UK's Royal Air Force change their ways and start respecting pilots and their human rights and treat them fairly ? Watch the UNCivil Aviation Authority - release 2021

The above link is to a 81 page complaint made to the UK Equalities and Human Rights Commission regarding Human Rights violations against multiple individuals by the Civil Aviation Authority. Glen's problem rewrit. The story of Anthony Parkinson, ex Red Arrow, Eurofighter, and Spitfire display pilot beginning page 19 is emblematic of our regulator if Glen's story is anything to go by.
