Might it be the airline F-27 incident at one of the northern Tasmania ports, memory says Smithton or Devonport, the co-pilot was the son of some one high in the airlines organisation, Ansett/TAA forget which. Not saying there wasn't an Argosy event as well, never heard of it in the couple of years working the state.
