It's been a while since I read the reports however as I recall - AOA disagree was apparent when the LionAir aircraft was on the runway at relatively low speed and very early in the flight of Ethiopian. The indication of course may be inhibited say when on the ground but it seems very reasonable to think that such an indication may have affected the outcomes.
