ALAT Gazelle gets shot down during ops in Mali a year ago, and in shades of Ed Macy’s rescue of deceased Marine Ford in Afghanistan, Tigre crew flew in to rescue them. Using
TIGREX’ (Tiger Extraction) procedure was developed a few years previously during Afghan ops . It was, however, only designed for two men who are supposed to stand on a side step and wrap their survival strap around the landing gear.
