I’ve had a similar response from Pommie companies, I think it’s why they are such a third rate country these days.
‘’I wrote to a yacht design company managing director about changing my boat propeller to a variable pitch unit. The response I got was that:
1. The yacht design was perfect and no improvement was possible or likely.
2. The propeller salesman was selling snake oil.
3. It was owners like me that were unsatisfied with his perfect product that caused the brand to get a bad name.
When I wrote to him six months later with the improved performance results after tests by an accredited marine engineer, he accused me of lying.
‘’The company went broke.
