Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm looking into it in the event redundancy comes my way. A few instructing jobs that came up recently had a requirement for the Cert IV hence the interest. I too have enrolled in a business degree to diversify outside of aviation and thought I could try and do both concurrently. Very interesting regarding the 6 year cycle on the qualification. Looks like a better option may be to wait and see how aviation recovers and make decisions, in which case it's easier to do the whole thing. I saw some courses that did the F2F component upfront so that might be the way to go. Was hoping someone out there would've had a neat trick to get around doing the entire course!
