That's what makes me a little skeptical of the claim:
“There are only two 747s in the world that can take off like that,” one of the flight stewards said that day, leaning over to a congressman who was aboard. “And they’re both called Air Force One.” A little journalistic license perhaps?
I'm thinking I've read something similar years ago in one of the AF1 coffee table picture books.
