Don’t worry about the bitter and sarcastic ones mate.

If none of us had had the dream we wouldn’t be here....be careful though as there is a fine line between dreams and nightmares.

As you know , thanks to China, the entire global airline industry is completely shot through . I have in the region of 2000 former colleagues , all with time on Boeing’s , looking for work .

If I get made redundant I expect 5 years out or never to return.

This is why people are like they are about it all - we have leaped into a dark chasm, we don’t know who will be left in a year and there will continue to be massive over supply of pilots. Therefore I imagine all sponsorships , etc , will be on hold indefinitely as airlines don’t like spending money when they can get something cheaper .

Although as I say this , some easyJet cadets are doing circuits up north ( go figure ) , so they are possibly extremely lucky or too far down the training route money wise.
