Much of what flybe inherited out of BHD, SOU and MAN was built by Loganair in the first place! As for "track record", flybe, in one of their not infrequent strategic errors decided to wage all out was against a stronger incumbent using...leased Eastern equipment. It may just be payback time, it's healthy competition, consumer wins in the short term, medium term likely only one operator, at best, will remain.
