Didn't they do the 'Orange' at Cranwell with weedkiller once?
I think 142FW left 'Fly Navy' in the grass below the tower at Linton in 1969 (or thereabouts), which didn't appear for some days/weeks after they left.
But as the last FW course the finger was pointed appropriately
