Dijon

friend bought a B25 which had landed in a field at Dijon after running out of fuel about 12 years ago. It had flown back from Canada then took off again for a tour with the local dignitaries on board. Only damage was wrinkling on the fuselage caused by the deceleration loads of the engines twisting the wing fuselage joint. I drove 5 hours expecting a flight but was given the job of climbing out onto the fuselage to clean the windscreens..no health and safety. Brothers from North Weald were servicing the engines before it was allowed to fly again.
