Splashers and Bunchers
Amazing story, Brett, and very useful for what I am doing. I'm doing some research into Splasher and Buncher NDBs for an article in my village magazine. I live near what was number 16 Splasher beacon at Brampton, Cambridgeshire. I know the US 8th Air Force used them to form up their Wings and Groups but I wondered if anyone has any information on them such as where they were lall ocated, how the Splashers were used, whether the RAF used them and who manned the sites (RAF or USAF)?
