Don’t be so
hard on the wording, the Oxford Languages gives the meaning as “
an organ or cell that acts in response to a stimulus.”
It appears it’s another form of bull**** speak brought about by people who seem to think using different wording to describe the bleeding obvious makes them appear more intelligent.
At the end of the day it’s just some form weaponry used in molecular redistribution
