Why stop at £7. Better to charge a straight tenner or even more. It will be that charge anyway in a year or two. Eventually the free car park drop off will end if it becomes too popular.
When the passengers return will we see a drop in the charges back to previous levels? Nope.
These new charges will not save a single job. MAG is not a charity, they are here to make money or in today’s world reduce their loses. All companies will reduce staff costs as much as possible.
Option B is to charge the airlines more to use Stansted. The charges can be hidden in the airfares to stop the people moaning. A passenger fee of around £3 per head will raise the same income.
