I remember some of the frames for conversion being stored at Farnborough, there were about 6 held by FR at Tarrant Rushton and then Hurn including XP924 which is the only one left flying now. XP924 was the back-up D3 prototype but rarely used IIRC. Program was scrapped around 1983/4 after some 8 years of development work, the D3 never flew without a safety pilot on board.
