Reminds me of a story from the Falklands in 87. The F4 pilots were boasting about how fast they could climb to height. The Chinook crew then bet them they could get to the same height from brakes off much faster. On the appointed day off went the Phantom and climbed to said height in so many seconds. The Chinook lifted from the dispersal by 78 Sqn and leisurely climbed up to just below the required height, then they announced '' Taking the Brakes off Now - Oh we're here!''
