Here’s my 2 cents.
The pilot will plea bargain to allow him to serve his sentence in Australia. If no plea bargain, then there will be heavy pressure by DFAT.
He will be sent to some cushy prison farm in Queensland for a year or two at the most and then because of good behaviour, health issues, and what ever dodgy excuses his lawyer will concoct, he will get parole. Everyone’s a winner in the drug trade in Australia.
