"We are at take-off" was the last transmission, but lest we forget, the cockpit voice recorder continued:
Flight engineer: Is hij er niet af, die Pan American? [Is he not clear, that Pan American?]
Captain: Jawel. [Oh yes. (emphatic)]
12 seconds later:
Captain: Oh ****!
(sound of collision)
