Another airline hoping to move to Heathrow as Jazeera have applied for slots. Rwandair, WestJet & China Airlines are going or gone, and it doesn't leave much left apart from LCCs like Wizz & Vueling.

It certainly isn’t good news for LGW, however, we still don’t yet know whether airlines such as those mentioned above have been granted slots at LHR for summer 21 and beyond. For example, China Airlines are currently operating LHR-TPE up until the end of the winter timetable, at which point, service transfers back to LGW. So the permanent transfer of these airlines to Heathrow will really come down to ability of long term slot ownership. Granted, traffic at LHR has been down just as other airports, but many airlines that have temporarily reduced or suspended operations from LHR will no doubt be keeping a tight grip on their slots and will be keen to return to LHR at the earliest opportunity to avoid new players from entering.
