B17 Flying Fortress wreckage reappearing from under glacier
The aircraft crashed into the Eyjafjallajökull glacier on 16 september 1944 and is only now reappearing from under the edge of the glacier.

The wreckage is completely destroyed, however major parts like props, engines and landing gear seem fairly intacct. All of the crew of 10 survived.
