David, this black line, when viewed from the horizontal stabiliser-mounted ground maneouvre camera system, indicates the approximate position of the maingear outer wheel under the wing if it cannot be seen in low vis conditions. This is helpful on tight taxiways, corners, etc.
The 200 models, being shorter, don't have this system and so do not (I think!) have the black lines.
