I've recommended a cocktail stick with the point cut back to the right diameter. However, Nut's links show a good selection of quick repairs.
I wish I could get some options for the huge 4k View Sonic proximity switches on the monitor stashed in my garage. The screen glows, but I've failed to breath life into it despite resoldering masses of rather dubious-looking joints on the mother board. Nowhere could I find a replacement switch strip which refuses to acknowledge my proximity.
Covid has saved it from the local dump - so far.
