I cannot argue with any of the points that you make, Larry. Indeed, I've made some of them myself in the past.
In my opinion (for the little it's worth) BHX, although a quite splendid and splendidly run airport, is simply too close to London and has done inordinately well to attract and hold onto the services that it has.
