Not really. They have an abundance of replacement aircraft and crew sitting around at Gatwick, and with technical issues liable for EU261 compensation, it would’ve been stupid not to use them.
If that was last summer, the flight would’ve been cancelled and you’d be given the next available seat on a future flight. Probably 4 days later.
