Re the concession list: I said
"family members, or family and friends, depending upon the airline" to include the different policies of (for example) BA and Virgin. I'm on a Virgin list.
"Why should a pilot be allowed and not the cabin crew?"
Because it's the flight deck not the cabin.
Because a
pilot can
personally vouch for the person. I didn't suggest it should be expanded in any of the ways you mention.
I don't think anyone suggested deliberately disobeying the rules or, if they did, I missed it. That would obviously be wrong.
