My apologies - dyslexia lures. My answer above was for XG196 not XG169. The latter does not appear in my logbook at all having flown some 90+ single seat Hunters whilst at 229OCU Chivenor and TWU, Brawdy so I suspect that your logbook may well be a typo for 196.According to Tim McLellands book on the Hunter, XG169 was an FGA9 tail letter 'N' at Chivenor and did indeed crash and was written off in June '73 some 4 months before it appears in you logbook.
