If I understand things correctly, it's more about insurance these days. I will not carry out any training or testing unless the aircraft concerned has a clause in the paperwork that allows one or both. Our Arrow is actually insured for full Club use, so we can do ab initio in it when asked and of course complex differences and various tests. At least until May 2021 when the engine runs out of calendar time....
