Most airports in the current circumstances want to attract airlines/new routes, whilst at the same time most airlines are consolidating/reducing their bases, Wizz being the exception amongst the LCC's. Realistically, until the sector recovers in 3/4 years, there is very little chance that any LCC would consider a base at Southampton. The best that can be expected may be one or two services operated from other bases on a W pattern. Enthusiasm is one thing, reality is another.
