Apart from lack of viable alternatives in the near future, one more thing that might make some people fight fiercely for WZZ/WUK is that it seems to be more inclusive to non-rated people. Granted, in RYR the pay is a long way better, the roster is rock-solid, there's a greater choice of bases etc. But you can only apply as a cadet fresh out of flight school, as a 737-rated and experienced FO or as an experienced Captain. Correct me if I am wrong, but there's no route for an experienced A320 FO to join RYR and get rated on the 737 (except for Lauda, which is less than 5% of the RYR group fleet). While in WZZ there is. I've seen plenty of FOs from B737, E190, Q400 and whatnot else apply and do the type rating with WZZ.
