With more and more pilots in the generation of the magenta line, it feels like heads-on’s would be far more probable. I’ve had many occasions outbound from my local, to find someone on the exact reciprocal track inbound.
If your identified and try to track a 1 mm offset without a clearance ATC will have a go at you. If you are really lucky they will also file a report on you when ADSB equipped.
