But how can you fly an RNAV sid without FDs ? If you don't have any deviation indication, except the ND map ? I never encountered the case.
No way to do it in a Boeing or Airbus. In a CRJ or ERJ, there’s a CDI that you can follow. Really wish Boeing and Airbus would implement that.
