I believe the VIrgin hangar is no longer used and BAW will vacate their hangar.
A year ago both these airlines carried the majority of London departing Caribbean bound pax out of Gatwick. Now Virgin have moved to Heathrow (and if they survive) they will:
1. Have a much bigger catchment area
2. Be operating more modern, efficient and passenger appealing aircraft
3. Consider more destinations to replace lack of demand for USA (and possibly India and others) , so potentially challenge more BAW Gatwick destinations?
These factors may well give added impetus to pull the Gatwick LH flights to Heathrow And possibly use more modern aircraft.
