I don't beleive you will ever have your question answered. There is in no way known to man that the implementation the NAS could EVER provide ANY increase to Aviation safety by pure virtue of its design
I dearly hope that myself nor anyone I know is involved when the enevitable happens.
Sad state of affairs is all I can say
