My background is in engineering and I'm not a pilot. I am not familiar with the training requirements for the various versions of the Cessna 172 and license-built 172s, or if training on one model is considered to qualify a pilot to fly another model. I would suggest contacting the DGAC or a local flight training organization to ask your questions.
