VietJet is about $200,000 USD including the cost of your TR and the $20,000 the CAAV wants for a Vietnamese license if you didn't go to one of their approved schools.

I don't know what the total cost is for Bamboo. Their cadets are probably sworn to secrecy because these programs are very hush-hush since a lot of money is changing hands between people under the table.

I've read $87,000 for Bamboo, but that wouldn't include your TR. And there will no doubt be "extra" expenses, such as the CAAV's $20K fee and any other fees they can dream up.

At any rate, the airlines are in dire straights right now. Anyone handing over huge sums of money to airlines in 3rd world countries is one hell of a gambler.

I've heard the VietJet cadets have all been sent home, and I'm sure many are sweating bullets.

I've heard a lot of them borrowed the full $200,000.
