The thing to remember is that before Covid and the collapse of Flybe, SOU-MAN and SOU-DUB were trunk routes with up to four or five flights a day in each direction, and good loads on those flights too.
Obviously air travel demand is low at the moment, but it's increasing slowly. As long as both airlines increase capacity in line with demand I don't see why there can't be room on these routes for both of them. Even if they both offer two flights each a day that'll still be less capacity than when Flybe were operating.

Looking at the flight timings on the Blue Islands website, it appears that an aircraft may be based at SOU as there's a 0730 departure to MAN.
