Not totally correct (perhaps)... Virgin Australia International lost money. But this incorporated the heavy losses from the NZ flying (post Air NZ alliance) and the Hong Kong losses as well as Bali losses (due to volcano activity). My understanding from insiders is (this is a rumour network after all) Los Angeles made money, and Japan was expected to do so too. It's a shame they aren't specific for transparency when they refer to Virgin Australia international, but all this flying falls under the one banner.
