There is a
thread on this in the Military forum, but I thought it might be useful to discuss this here as well. There is an
announcement on the Bruntingthorpe Aviation site that the groups looking after the aircraft have been asked to vacate the site by October of this year. The Buccaneer Aviation Group has started a
crowdfunding site to move their airframes and spares to Kemble. David Walton is looking into adding buildings just outside the airfield next to the 'Q' shed to house airframes, but I haven't found more information about this. There have been plans to move VC10
ZA147 to St. Athan for a while, but there is obviously a new timeframe now. As this is already a complicated time for museums and the historic scene because of the pandemic, it won't be easy to collect funds to move large airframes. So who's got thoughts or helpful ideas other than 'let's fly the Victor out....'
