There is a spool-up time on jet engines and a certain inertia of everything weighing something, at least according to Newton.... and since we all, with no exception, abide by his laws, there is a chance the missed approach was commanded before the scraping?
Whether or not you can hear that scraping from the cockpit..... we got to ask the professionals
