Garden birds definitely slightly more exotic now - robins, wrens, pudgeons, magenpies and crows which have been the regulars for a few years have now been joined by several other common species plus black caps and, I heard today, a goldcrest in the fir tree - hope it stays. Also a goldfinch... and I keep hearing sparrows chirping somewhere nearby - haven't had any here for absolutely years.

Today marks a first - a double yolker fried egg! Whenever I've had them, they've been cracked into a bowl for scrambled. Unfortunately, one yolk burst on impact with the pan...
