Interesting to note the mention of Mr Guy Jefferson in the newspaper cutting, and his award of the BEM. I knew Guy during my time at Linton ATC, 1975 - 78. He invented the 'LATIS' (Linton Air Traffic Indicator System), the electronic 'Jet Clock' for timing how long each Jet Provost was airborne, and the 'UUPI' - Ultrasonic Undercarriage Position Indicator that gave Linton ATC an aural indication that wheels were down and locked.

He was also kind enough to repair my TV!
