I could understand it if it was going to be country specific, applicable to countries or regions where the virus is still rife at the time and updated on a weekly basis. But does somebody coming back from Barbados or the Seychelles really need to go into quarantine?
If the government is going to go through with this it needs to provide financial support (grants, not loans) to the airlines and airports that are going to be affected. This isn’t just a supply and demand trough that will ween out the weakest players, it’s a government order preventing these businesses from operating whilst still incurring costs. The industry will collapse.
