Slots for S20 are irrelevant as there is no requirement to ‘use them or lose them’. Their plan is to restart in March 2021 or earlier if demand allows them to. The key scandi-UK routes will almost certainly be back before the end of the year, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see one or two TATL routes before Christmas either.
That is possible, but seems unlikely to me. The US is very much at the plateau, but no real fall in deaths right now - which remain in the region of 5000 a day across the US. The effect that social distancing might have on tourist attractions and the type of eating/drinking/socialising that might be allowed, even if open at all might be drastic. Not to mention the quarantine requirements when coming from the UK, the second-most effected country globally. Deaths and new cases in China are suspiciously low and other countries trajectories don't seem to flood the same pattern. South Korea, who are considered to have one of the best test, track and trace systems have new cases and deaths falling at a much slower rate. One does wonder about the reliability of the Chinese data.
