First off, hello to you all! Nice to see a board with more of a UK presence. I use flightattendants.org a little but the people there are largely American/Canadian.

I went for an interview with BA at Cranebank on 17th November and was called with a job offer on the 20th. REALLY couldn't believe it. Didn't think I did well but oh, how wrong was I!!!!

I start work with BA on the 22nd December (why just before Xmas???).

Does anyone have any suggestions about where to stay, how to find out about flat/house shares OR does anyone have a room they need filled?

Thanks to everyone above for their advice about salaries and bidding. Very useful and appreciated.

I have so much to do in the space of a month - need to quit my current job (that's Monday), need to sell or lease out my apartment (don't want to sell it, if it can be avoided) and need to get accommodation in London. God help me!

Best of luck to everyone with their own applications!

One other thing guys and gals! (Well, OK, maybe two)!

1) Regarding the education certificates - these ARE vitally important. At my interview on 17th November, a girl showed up from France with her certificates though they were not what BA was looking for (didn't specify English and Maths). While she was not sent away, I would be very suprised if she was offered a position, due to the reaction of the BA staff when processing her paperwork. Very unfortunate.

2) Anyone who has done their training alread - how many people are typically in each training group? When do things like the pool excercises take place?

And another, just for good measure :

3) Anyone with any advice about where to find accommodation? I am looking to stay in Hayes, Hounslow or Hatton Cross if possible. Can anyone drop me a line [email protected].

Thanks, and fly safe.
