Had one of them last week. Puzzled me a bit as I don't have a PayPal account for technical reasons known only to them, Danny and myself.
I deleted it, but I had another incident where I was trying to buy what seemed like perfectly legitimate software on the net. When it came to the payment part, the form said they hadn't set up for credit cards yet but could accept debit cards in the meantime. All I had to do was fill in the boxes for debit card number, date of issue, date of expiry and security code. Oh Yes, as if!
Needless to say upon checking back with the software company they knew nothing of the site.
We have to beware, con-men are always so damned plausible. I wonder how many they've caught with this scam?
