Yes, Short Brothers had a facility at West Malling where they serviced Varsities (and Chipmunks) and also used the Varsity for various trials involving FLIR, LLTV, etc.
Until 1971, Varsities were also overhauled by Brooklands Aviation at Little Staughton.
