Also does anyone else think it is funny that a Tory aPM is plain old Mr Johnson (or more usually just "Boris") but the Labour leader of the opposition is Sir Keir Starmer?
The Tories have had all sorts of leaders. Boris has spent a long time becoming 'Boris' avoiding Ks etc. He was always looking to the bigger prize. He will take his Peerage later.
As for Keir, he had probably given up on the idea of very high office, so took the K. His current role may be a bit of a surprise to him; rather like his namesake.
